These people obviously weren't inspired enough by the various choices to vote Matelot.
If it had been a straight choice of Boris or Jeremy then I would have given it a miss as well.
And that kind of turn out is pretty much par for the course in a GE in the UK.

In my constituency Bury South the only party which knocked on my door was the Women’s Equality Party! Credit to them. In the event the Conservatives took the seat from Labour but this was not unexpected because Labour have been losing local ward elections at council level for the last year.Quote:

I can see no hope for the Labour Party Outwood, they're still in the grip of Momentum, whose members foisted Corbyn on the Party, and they're in no mood to relinquish that grip. So just more of the same from them, and electoral oblivion. Breaks my heart.;D

We had better get our act together very quickly or we will not recover.
But your one true radical policy was a disaster 59. Nevertheless all is not lost, far from it imo. You should double down on your support for EU membership and become the Party of Rejoin. I think the Brexit ship has sailed now Sinkov, and it will be ten years before the country may be ready to return.
Too many people are totally entrenched in their views now and even if things go well there will be many remainers who will still think we made the wrong decision.
And there are too many leave supporters who, no matter how bad things get, will never admit that the decision is wrong.
It will take time for the country to come to it's senses once more.
In the meantime the Lib Dems should be concentrating on beefing up their policies in other areas - we have really taken our eyes of the ball here and our current polices are lacklustre to say the least.
