Lucky you. Watching the news with Mrs F, there was a piece on vaccination priorities illustrated with some old dears being jabbed. Mrs F failed her Gogglebox audition with such jibes as ‘she’s not bloody 90!’and ‘she won’t last til her second injection!’

I’m thinking of getting her to join here and take on Swale

I don't believe that it is. As part of the EU all being equal, they're waiting for their joint approval. According to reports they're delaying approving the vaccine so that people will have more confidence in it. Every day they delay it, 1,000s of EU citizens are dying from it. It's also reported that they're criticizing the UK for using 'emergency' rules to fast track the clearance. If 1,000s of people dying every day, doesn't constitute an emergency, then I don't know what does.

Could you imagine the reaction in this country if we'd developed the first vaccine and then delayed clearing it, whilst other countries around the world were taking deliveries and vaccinating their vulnerable people.

Being sensible about it (sorry) I notice that gov.uk believe that vaccinating the first nine target groups will remove 99% of avoidable deaths from Covid. I've had a lark about blagging my way up the list, bull**** on my part obvs, but just READING some of the conditions that qualify people for a jab is sobering in itself and I'm happy to stay at home, wash my mits and wait my turn (which, however, I WILL take)

You think? I’d certainly like to...but seeing as I don’t trust a word they say about most things, I’ll reserve judgement.
There was certainly a childlike and unholy scrabble to say ‘we were first’...even though the vaccine was developed in Germany and arrived from Belgium. You’d think there might be a reason why the other European countries have been more cautious...maybe.
