Have been thinking about our Strikers and wonder if a couple of different styles of player are needed to help unlock defences when opponents are just sitting back.

A striker who is more aggressive and prepared to go to war and batter the opponents defence and a poacher/fox in the box type player, just to give us alternatives and to have an option of playing 2 up top when needed.

Having options would be great especially a super fast poacher we could use in the last 20 mins.

Thing is, to make that work would require the system to change. We're geared up for the one attacker and for that player (currently Bamford), to do what he does, tracking back, pressing when not in possession etc. The Vardy/Kane type doesn't do anywhere near as much of the workaday play, not sure any such player does. And as for the combative type, not sure there are any (Come back the Joe Jordans?)

Think Vardy is now such a clever player he could adapt to any system - Kane too.

Was nice when we had Nketiah who could come in and sneak a goal in the last 20 (admittedly against EFL teams). I also wonder if we always only play 1 up front due to lack of quality in that spot

He is first name because we are so short in other areas. I love Dallas but his role is utility man who is there to cover the gaps wherever they come up. With a fully fit squad and a proper left back I don't think Dallas starts.

To make it clear we cannot and should not ever let him go, he will notch up 30 appearances minimum for next few years because he is so adept across the park. I just know if we want to make that next step as horrible as it sounds players like Dallas, Ayling, Cooper, Alioski etc should be back up not first choice.

In terms of different style we miss Pablo, when we couldn't get past someone particularly end of last season and he'd come on for second half change the game and we would win
