New Director of Football/ Sporting Director ?

This is an entirely different proposition to the roles he's held in the past .

Basically he's expected to find players for nothing who can show enough improvement so they can be sold on for profit .

His role should actually be to build us a squad capable of getting out of this league and holding our own in the championship .

This is an entirely different challenge to the roles he's had before .

Good Luck to the lad , he'll need it .

On a positive note thank god Hassell didn't get the job .

No it wasn't a wind up.

The club have been rushed into putting out an Official Website Statement at 7-00pm last night.

He doesn't start for a few weeks.

The 36 year old is a good friend of James Cryne.

Maybe they wanted to give Bobby January to audition for the job rather than shove someone in at the deep end when they first arrive at the club?

Hopefully now this new person can start off by discussing contracts with our existing players and then move on to targets for the summer transfer window.

They've hired him to install and implement a Game Model which means we haven't one .


What part of the club's statement is so difficult for you to understand ? .

For all you know the Game Model may well be a more passing based style , the truth is neither you or I know what that will look like .

This guy for all we know may well be hired to play the way Collins wants to with the recruitment based on that .

Until we see over a period of time we don't know and neither do you .
