Weird that we haven't tied Jones down to a longer deal
I can understand why we only gave two years initially but he's been virtually ever present since joining apart from when on International duty

We don't know that we haven't... wasn't Nemane signed, sealed and delivered, but not announced until weeks after the event last season? I was expecting Jones to go before Langstaff, but the lack of rumours may indicate that it's all resolved and we will announce just before the start of the season as we did last season with Nemane?
How the club chose to run it's finances is it's business but I don't think marquee signings are how the club operates under the brothers based on the past five years. To be honest I don't expect it either and also it guarantees nothing.
We also have to remember that the club brought Jatta for £150K was it, less than six months ago.
I think also under the brothers it's about giving people a platform to grow and progress to become top dog or the king of meadow lane so to speak. For me JJ is our best and most valuable player now and he's flourished since coming to the club and worked himself into that position from his horrendous injuries.
Up front it's over to Jatta and Scott now to see if they can fill the void vacated by Macca with McGoldrick and Morais as support. They have the opportunity to become 15+ goal a season strikers. If they do great, if not then much like the defenders who were given a chance last season then I'd expect they would move on and other avenues pursued.
I could be wrong but I don't see him seeing out his current contract. A player with a history of horrific injuries and a new born I imagine will want security as his past will play on his mind.
I 100% believe the club will have offered him a new contract and now he has a decision to make.
I tend to agree that he will go or stay on a longer contract. There just hasn't been a lot of speculation, so despite my gut feeling that he will go I am beginning to think he is already signed up. It just seems odd that there has been almost no speculation at this stage.
I don’t think we should write off Morias just yet. Don’t know what it is but what little I saw of him I thought he had something. He has the pace and work rate of Macca (probably not the natural goal scoring ability - but how many at this level do?) but when he played I think he linked the play play up better than Macca ever did. His strength in receiving the ball was good and he also has the vision to use the ball well.
Don't know if I'm just having a good day but I’m liking the thought of him and one of either Jatta/Didzy as a traditional front two.
As for the funds from the Macca sale, who could blame the club for putting some or even all of towards payment for the Nest, the premier league standard pitch or the fantastic sound system?!
