Cotter and Dunn up front.
I remember suggesting Cotter as a forward before Christmas - and got the usual lovely comments about it.
And here he is - he ain?t a striker - but because we are short of strikers he?s been thrown in the deep end.
But what Barry has got is speed and the absence of fear to try and take defenders on.

As said previously - the concern now is what level of impact these lacklustre games will have on next season.

Well historically speaking you generally start the next season in the same manner you just finished the current one .
Just because we haven't been relegated from this level in over 50 years doesn't mean that can't happen .
It is possible given transfer windows of late that we could actually end up with an even worse team than we've got now .
These people are capable of doing that , they really are .

One of the main obstacles this season has been the absence of any out and out strikers at the club.
Yes the team scores goals.
But it was plain to see from the start of the season that Barnsley were going to struggle in that there was no one at the club with the natural ability to gauge where the ball was going to drop in the opposition penalty area.
There was no one there for the tap ins.
And didn?t we get a fine example of that against the Shrews ???
Watters missing 5 (FIVE) easy chances because he just has not got the skills to read the game.
Other than that - the game was slow pedestrian amateurish and pathetic.
The relegated team were miles better.
