Don’t think right now is the time to be sacking managers. A bit of calm is needed at the minute. If IB is their man the owners have to back him now, even if we consolidate this year and push next….though there is obviously still time to get it right this term.
Having said that, it will be some hardened souls who make the trip down to Yeovil on Saturday!
Does anyone think IB might need more help form his assistant, especially at time like these ?
Maybe.
I can remember thinking and saying on many occasions last season that Michael Doyle's much vaunted 'vast experience' didn't seem to have much effect on the team when we were under pressure, and it doesn't seem like it was helping much from the sidelines tonight.
Those of us who remember the impact another ageing veteran Don O'Riordan had on our rise to glory many years ago might agree with me that Doyle's influence both on and off the pitch does not seem as significant.
