Yep, great commentary for what sounded an absolutely pulsating match.

A glimpse into our future tonight. Halifax an average team that doesn't give up, in front of 2000 supporters,,,,,,,sad but a possibility if we don't get out of this league
I think it is a fair comment our fans on social media have decided they dont want this model/style.
I would also say fans of other clubs would likely be against it to eg Wrexham Grimsby Chesterfield as they think they are big fish in a small pond.
One thing that annoys me is we never play our own I mentioned a few weeks back give Brooks the jersey whilst Slocombe is injured as this new keeper has played 3 lost 3 so he couldnt do any worse.
I remember last season quite alot of our fans saying we need to give this model a channce cant keep doing the same thing etc...then we lose a few games and the old thinking comes back.
We could sack IB today but as we've seen over last 20 years its highly unlikely we improve doing so.
As I stated last night managers come & go the biggest concern as Swale said is what if the owners throw in the towel that should be the worry.
Wooton was captain last night
With all respect to woots Is that the best we can do?
We have no leadership. We are full of nice lads but no in your face gaffa who others get a boost from.
I suppose you get what you pay for and are judged on the decisions you make
Quite frankly i have no idea what the owners plans are
Owners have worried me in several ways already, and are far from the perfect 10, many were making out
1) Blowing our best chance of an immediate return to the football league, by sticking with Ardley, instead of bringing their own man in from the beginning, when we had the better players, and parachute payments
2) Suddenly sacking Ardley, and replacing him with a manager with no actual experience in this league, on a 4 year contract
3) i do not not what there input is in regard to players, but basically signing dross, and not the type of players who will help us improve, ie a goal poacher, and more of a big physical presence
4) The fact they have brought another football club, shows they have interest elsewhere, a big red flag for me
5) They brought the club no doubt on the cheap, because we had been relegated, they thought they might make quick money if we go back up, as is now the case that we are not going to, are they actually going to fund the players that we need, or as in point 4, are they going to invest money else where ??
1) That season was our only chance of an immediate return. The stats and facts strongly suggest that it is a misnomer that the first season is best chance a relegated club has of getting back up and that includes the much talked parachute payments.
2) 4 year contract shows confidence and suggests stability but unless you know the T&C's regarding termination and compensation it could be a 12 year contract and in all likelihood wouldn't matter financially. This has been well covered, you just need to look past the headline.
3) I presume a wide ranging database on players. The acquisition of Notts have signed dross has been said of every past owner I can think of all the way back to Pavis. The fact we signed dross prior to our current owners is one of the reasons we are now NL. That can't be on the Reedtz brothers.
4) Valid concern, I don't see this as a positive that some suggest. I would prefer them to only be involved with Notts but with their business makes sense to be more than one club especially in different countries. We don't know how much money they have or more accurately willing to invest in football clubs.
5) This is just guesswork on top of guesswork. I'm sure nobody on here knows the cost, level of debt inherited after the sh!tshow circus finally ended. How do you know they wanted to make a quick buck? Obviously their plan is to buy and sell players for a profit (a new concept for Notts) and they can do that far more effectively back in L2. You could be right, you maybe wrong but we don't know. It's a guess.
I am sure it would be no surprise to you, that i disagree on many of the points you made
1) Whether the stats show for clubs overall its a misnomer for relegated clubs to bounce straight back, it was Notts best chance to date, and maybe for the forseeable future, we still had likes of Dennis etc, , and for me a more competent manager than Ardley at that stage, would have sealed promotion for Notts
2) A four year contract on any manager is just fool hardy showing lack of experience, let alone on an inexperienced manager, the contract should have been 1 to 2 years max, with extensions if the manager proves his worth, and notts show progression in that time
As to date , IB has not shown he is an upgrade on Ardley, possibly worse , and i never thought i would say that lol
3) The fact of previous owners signing dross, has got nothing to do with the current situation, for which the owners , are completely responsible for. This season , and in fact the last 2 are completely on the reedz brothers
5) They obviously brought the club a lot cheaper as it was a national league club
buying players, and selling them for a profit is certainly not a new thing, Pavis was known to do this, however to be fair this was some time ago
