re: Atmosphere In English Football
Good point about women (some women.) My better half (she says) has taken to using my radio to listen to the RD version of the game rather than the two biddys behind us who rabbit non stop the whole match about everything. I know more than I need to about organinsing funerals, how to have a Hysterectomy, cook a cake etc. I know one lost her husband so finds the game a chance to get out but sometimes I want to yell at them.
re: Atmosphere In English Football
And to add, has the 'excitement' of a goal going in become less 'exciting'?
I mean the noise, when watching games from 30/40 years ago would be unreal, whereas now at every game its a few seconds of cheer, a few more of clapping at that's it.
I don't know if it's just me that's noticed this and I don't know if they do it for every game, but next time you watch the Football League Show, listen out for the cheer every time a goal goes in. Tell me if you think it sounds the exact same every single time. Are they really adding sound effects to highlights so the celebration of a goal sounds better? :s

there's an agreement among the dozen or so lads I sit with that there will be massed v-signs if we're ever picked out by the 'give us a wave' camera - then again, we're a grumpy looking bunch, so they probably won't focus on us...
