After the politically inspired witch-hunt intended to close down our free press, there was the *** abuse witch hunt against numerous innocent people, mostly well known, who have had their lives ruined, and are now receiving enormous sums in compo, funded of course by us taxpayers. There is one common player in both these scandals whose role should be investigated, but it won't be, that of the BBC.
Their coverage of the phone hacking cases and Leveson was nothing more than blatant ante Murdoch propaganda, a disgraceful misuse of it's privileged position as national broadcaster. It's complicity in allowing Saville free rein for years has never been fully investigated, and it's treatment of Cliff Richard, conniving with the police against a totally innocent man, was yet another scandal they seem to have got away with.
There's just one part of the Telegraph piece I'd disagree with, Fraser Nelson mentions a 'supposedly corrupt establishement'. There's nothing 'supposedly' corrupt about our establishment. It's corruption personified, it's exactly how corruption works in this country, you couldn't get a finer example.
