I voted LEAVE and Brussels and the 27 have just ratified it.
A win tomorrow and with it a renewed sense of feelgood factor, I promise to leave 59er alone until we are well into the New Year. 03/01/2021 anyway! XD

The Lib Dems stood on a ticket which was quite clear. Vote for us and we will revoke Brexit.
In retrospect, not a wise decision, but a perfectly democratic stance to take.
At General Election time all the parties have a clean slate to be able to offer policies to the public, and it is up to the public to decide, which they did.
And that is how democracy works. Come on, it's not that difficult to understand?
Believe it or not, that will not be my decision!
Let's just see if we are better off out or not before making that decision, eh?
Still four years to the next election so plenty of time to analyse everything by then.
Anyway, it's the season of goodwill to all men* so may I wish you continued joy and felicitations Mon Ami O:)
*Except the ref from yesterday.
This is very odd 59, I thought you LibDems were utterly 100% certain that leaving the EU would be a disaster. Are you having second thoughts, are you thinking that just maybe Boris and Sir Nigel were right after all ? What else could explain your reticence to nail your colours firmly to the EU mast ?
And in the meantime may I reciprocate and wish you and yours all the very best for 2020.
Unlike Sinkov who I have noticed is as usual behind the times I wish everyone who posts on here a Healthy & Happy 2021
I am 100% certain that the new agreement with the EU will be nowhere near as good for my country as the one we had before.
But the proof of the pudding is in the eating, and all will become apparent very soon.
i was mightily relieved that the Government didn't follow your advice and leave without a deal. Now that WOULD have been a disaster.
If you could explain to me how the new deal is an improvement on our original deal (trade, financial matters, freedom to travel and study/work/live on the continent etc) then I would be interested.
You seem to be happy that we have given a lot of our nations wealth away, and you are now celebrating that the EU allowed us a few crumbs from their table.
It's very laudable that you are hoping that our country will flourish and thrive under the new arrangements, but please don't hold your breath!
Happy New Year! (2021 ;D)
There's still a few days left Barrie, when 59 will be living under the direction of his chums in Brussels, I'm just wishing him all the best for the rest of his time under their baleful influence. I'll get round to wishing him a happy, prosperous, independent New Year on the 31st.
Well that's my story anyway. ;D
No more bullying EU bureaucrats, tariff free trade with whoever we want, no more commercial and legal shackles imposed to benefit Germany and France.
What's not to like?
