Saturdays game cancelled [re. 10.09.22]

I loved the Queen, probably more than the monarchy itself, and shed afew tears yesterday, but I think letting sporting events go on, with respect paid at all of them would have been better.
The decision made over The Ledger does seem like madness, and as HRH was such a lover of horse racing, I am sure she would have wanted it to go ahead as planned. This begs the question, will Ascot next year, be called Royal Ascot.

Ludicrous decision. Cancel on the day of the funeral - yes, but not now. What about the travelling supporters who have bought rail/bus tickets, hotel rooms etc.?

It's annoying I had a full Saturday's gambling on horses and football planned, with bets already placed at Doncaster. This unforseen cancellation plus an overseas holiday preventing betting has this degenerate gambler a little frustrated.

Going to have to turn my focus to American football to scratch that betting itch.

The right decision by the NL in my opinion.

How can anyone in the country mourn properly when in the back of their mind they know FC Halifax Town are at home to Dorking.

If you're off on holiday where you went last year and also have a football itch, you could join me* watching Portimonense v Chaves in the Primeira Liga on Sep 16th. I'm also hoping to watch Portimonense v FC Porto on Oct 8th, but I think I'll struggle to get a ticket for that one.

* Just for clarity so you don't misunderstand again, when I say 'join me' I mean be at the game rather than sit next to me. I'm pretty sure I'll be the only one in a Notts shirt, so I should be easy to avoid.
