Ridiculous decision. People can choose not to attend if they wish but a minutes silence/applause, national anthem and black armbands would have been more fitting than a blanket cancellation.
Doesn't everyone still have to go to work? What difference should playing sport for a living make?

This somehow feels worse than when we were locked down.
A pathetic decision, made simply because we have to be seen to do "what's right". The final classic of the season, The St Leger at Doncaster tomorrow has been cancelled. Ridiculously, it's now being run the following day!!! So someone has decided it would be disrespectful to hold it on Saturday, but perfectly fine to run it 24 hours later. Perhaps the media should tell us to the nearest minute exactly how long we have to grieve for.
Might not be the last game this season to be cancelled for non-weather related issues if electricity rationing comes in. That has to be a very real prospect for places like Germany, Switzerland etc.
