Bang on the money there imo Jacob. Macari looked very good when overlapping on Sunday. I think he'd do well at right back/wing back. Ness seems highly rated by Charlton fans. RM saying we will still add in other areas too. No-brainer to sign a lad that Charlton clearly feel has potential.

I dont subscribe to the Didzy take that he wont last a full 90, or more, on his own admission he is fitter now than he has been most of his career. He has a wealth of experience that you just cannot get in this league, i hope this is also the best season of his career.Welcome to the new guy, luke Ness, hope he is ready to get on our fab pitch in a couple of weeks.

Another one which absolutely nobody saw coming! We are so secretive these days! Looks a good signing on the face of it and further evidence for the doubters that we pay money when we want to. We looked stacked at CB now, but love that we are building for the future.

Clearly still after some other players, and I'm excited to see what we come up with. Doubt any of us will have predicted them though when they arrive.

Looked up this guy before as we were connected with him a month ago and it was all good reading.

I think it’s extremely positive, we’re obviously not skint and blown all our money on the Nest else we wouldn’t be signing players we don’t need asap and as the statement says it’s doesn’t effect any other business we’re trying to do.

Funnily enough I suspect we've been working on this one for ages. I think there was some discussion a few weeks about a lad from Charlton but it all went quiet until today

I think we need both, I like the idea of Swan as it sounds like he could play as a 10 or a 9 which would fit nicely.
I’m still very skeptical about the keeper situation but we obviously need to get Stone or Sam out if we want another.

I find the some of he comments on here re forwards odd. The statement clearly states that this is a signing for the long term and doesn't affect any of our business that we are currently trying to do. It seems that most on here think these transfers are 'either / or', but clearly this one is an 'as well as'. Personally I wouldn't be surprised if we see a couple of signings or loans before the end of the window to cover the immediate need.

If Ness makes any significant impact this season then I think it will be seen as a bonus, but he certainly looks like he could be a good addition for next season and beyond. It looks like good forward planning to me.
