A tall centre back only 22 with 40 league appearances in League One under his belt sounds like potential on paper.

Also note on Charlton's website it states there is a sell on clause as part of the deal so must be rated enough to think he can progress whilst here.

Fair enough, although I assume with his height that he's more centre-half than full-back, which suggests that Stuart Maynard isn't moving away from the back three approach for long, otherwise why have so much cover?

Agree we obviously need an extra body in attack now Morias has left, although if we sign a striker we'd better warn them they could end up playing on the wing for some reason.

We're hell bent on sorting out the defence. Instead of going from 4-3 wins we'll end up with 0-1 defeats or 0-0 draws and that stats will show that improving things out at the back has worked despite being in a relegation battle.

I've been critical of recruitment this summer but I will give them credit here, this doesn't look like a signing for now, but next season/future. He became available so we got him now, hence the 4 year contract

I think we see Macari’s future at right back/wing back. He’s quite short for a centre back and looked great going forward on Sunday.

I think we need one more attacking signing, but I’d sign a winger who can do a job as a striker rather than the other way round.

Agree with you totally, but we are in need of urgent quality in WB and forward line. People keep saying oh we have 3 strikers and only play one, but consider, Scott is still coming back from long term injury and at the moment is struggling, McGoldrick looks much sharper but will not play 90 mins often, that leaves Jatta only takes an injury and we have nothing to back up.
