It's the "Clear and Obvious error" that does my nut in.
It shouldn't take 3 minutes, views from umpteem different angles, 3 slide rules and a multitude of coloured vertical and horizontal lines to clear up something that's "CLEAR and OBVIOUS"
If it can't be resolved in (say) 15 seconds then stick with the on field decision
Or as in Cricket.
Give each team 3 "appeals" against decisions
If they're correct they keep the appeal, if not they lose it
