We could take the view that Putin doesn't have eyes on anything beyond the former USSR countries and therefore shouldn't get involved, leave tthem to defend themselves. But again, looking at history, Germany and the Nazi's initially only wanted back their former 1918 Empire estates, but it didn't stop them going into surrounding countries including coming for us. I personally don't think appeasement of such leaders and their actions in invading soverign countries, and should confront them at source. Just my opinion, but one with some history reading behind it.
How far Putin will go as you say is the question , certainly appeasing Hitler in 1936 didn't prevent WW2 but I think it's important to look at this in today's world .Quote:

The Ukraine situation would be my test , let's get a deal on the table that Putin can save face with and Zelensky gets to a road to economic prosperity with the minerals in his country .
