My understanding is a player can register for 3 clubs in a season, but can only play for 2 unless seasons overlap. Ie- if his current season finishes before he signs for the third team

This rule was actually scrapped last season to alleviate player unemployment concerns due to Covid. Not sure if its been re-instated this season.Quote:

I've mixed feelings about Shanks coming back to Tannadice - part of me would love to see it happen but how often do these returns work out? Different player and personality but Goodwillie springs to mind.
