Aye, the full backs were badly exposed that night. It was men vs boys I'm afraid to say.

Its fine to be realistic, we aren't going to have anything but a difficult season, it's a step up and we have been affected a lot by covid abs the fall out, especially preperation and having to change managers and we need to strengthen some areas like cb etc but still think you are focusing on negatives too much imo, we are not a poorer side than say Ross County when they went up for example, even if we don't strengthen... Other teams won't get it easy against us
Smith had a few poor games and very good games, mostly solid, are you saying he is not better than some other right backs in the prem? And Robson not better than some left backs, if so, nonsense.
I don't know enough about the full backs in the Premiership to make that call. All I know is ours weren't all that great against a Championship full of part timers and players not of the standard of the Premiership. They need to up their game. The fact Neilson was trying to buy O'Donnell from Killie and had also brought in Freeman suggests to me he thought the same.
We may not be any worse than Ross County when they went up, but they made nine signings that summer in preparation for moving up a level.
And we improved on the team who beat them home and away and were seconds from beating them away again, then went onto cruise the league and were a stronger side than when they won it imo
We need to strengthen but if we get some luck with injuries we can avoid relegation with everyone playing their part, it's a new challenge for us a different one, one in looking forward to
Anything else a bonus first time up and the unusual circumstances that have changed the course we were on.
Rangers next on Wednesday.
Interesting that all the friendlies are against teams in the same division as us. Less travel and these are the teams at the same stage of preparation as us I guess. We also can measure ourself with them too. However it is a bit of showing your cards to your opponent.
Only the Premiership teams have the go ahead to play games. There is no other option
A handful of first team Rangers players but mostly a 'B' squad for them up against us today. Hopefully we pump them. No sign of what our team is, again.
