We can't get players like that but we also aren't in a Champions League Final so don't need players like that.

We need two things, quality and injury free. Yes we need some players who can press like Washington but we need more quality on the ball in this division. Said it time and time and time again, we fall short often because we cannot keep the ball at all in this league. The ball will always move faster than a load of spirited fellas.

What we need is more of the Rathbone, Barlaser, Vicktor, Ogbene type signings in every position on the field and we'll have a potential multi million pound team if we get the recruitment right. We have about 10 million worth of value in midfielders and keeper together, if we can do the same in defence and Attackers then that will put us in a really good position going forward.

Not bothered about Victor. He's ok as cover. Vickers he's a quality keeper.

I'm not getting this propaganda that TS isn't backing PW.

No evidence that he isn't.

It could equally be that the recruitment team is finding the players, TS is saying ok but PW doesn't like the look of them

I agree Grist, I do believe TS is backing PW as much as he can, but I believe one of the problems we face is with our wage structure, especially in the championship, with some players who we would want and be willing to come, wont agree to their wages going down if/when we get relegated from championship. UTM

Not a name that I recall. I played there from around 1974-80. A couple of the players there at that time lived/were brought up just across the road from The Monkwood on Scovell Ave, Brian Edwards and Ellis Brown.
