    Icki to Derby? NOOOOOOO!

Derby County are close to agreeing a deal with out of contract Rotherham defender Michael Ihiekwe, Rotherham have also offered the player a new deal. #RUFC #DCFC https://t.co/Yjprt7I4bD

ELK's health is on the line!

Just the start of a massive spending spree once the new owners are in place.

How much will they spend on transfers? £12m? More? They have no debt so can I think go £35m above the fair play abuse line.
They'll certainly be able to sell their advertising at twice the price of ours, sell twice the amount of season tickets and add loads more corporate events.

Let the circus big in! Don't be surprised by anything they do or who they bid for!

Icki's too young for Derby. Wayne only likes old uns working under him.

I may as well write it for him then....

''I'm buzzing to get the deal over the line.Once I spoke to the gaffer it was a no brainer. Derby are a club with a massive history and you've
only got to look at the stadium to see the size of the club. Im going to do everything I can to get the club back to where it deserves to be and
repay the faith the gaffer has put in me and show the fans what Im about.''

Exactly.....and Ladapo should be brought into that equation as well. What he did was poor in my opinion, but it worked. It was all about agitating the club enough to not trigger the 1 year extension. It's highly likely that Smith is deciding on which club to join on a list of which Rotherham is not on.

I did state this over a week ago......

    D - Day for Smudge

So today we learn if Michael Smith stays or leaves.

We might also see if Micheal Ihiekwe is off to Derby. Think he’ll hang on another week or so to see what’s on offer from other clubs. Suppose he’d like move to Wigan to be nearer Liverpool as suggested on here.

So it's south for Ihiekwe and not west back to Liverpool. Another who's 30 year old this year looking for that final big pay day we couldn't match and we simply could not keep hold of. Simply cannot blame him, his agent will have done all the leg work for him in order to get this deal. Good luck to Michael if this comes off for him and his family. One final contract and big pay day. Who's the next to leave?

This is why TS needs to share the clubs ownership with somebody worth a bit of cash then eventually selling up outright when he knows the new investor and can trust him . We cannot keep messing around with small contracts in this division up and own every season is ****ing awful. We lose Smudge to the PIGS and Icky to Derby then it is embarrassing. Imagine the twitter feeds now Rotherham lose players to teams in a lower division

The slight difference from past…most of our better players generally leave when we have been relegated from championship, this time it seems it’s after we have been promoted before we enter the championship, which brings a different type of problem that we are not really used too,and probably explains the anxiety and worry from our fans…

Great point but I think there will be anxiety and worry within the corridors at the NYS too.......not just with the fans!

If the lad goes to Derby Carnt blame him , good luck. He will get a substantial pay rise. We have to wait and see what players come in but we Carnt afford to lose our better players.
