Oh oh! Here comes da politics again.
Must be hard being in a ‘minority’
You would like to think so. You insignificant little people who have zero respect make me laugh actually. That’s why you always back losers, Labour politicians and remainers. We who back the winners look down on you and in a way feel pity for your life of making the wrong decision time after time, oh well, that’s how it is in the real world. Don’t forget to kneel.
Brilliant post, because it sums you up perfectly. To you life isn't about right and wrong, it's about right and left.
I know you are far, far too cowardly to answer, but let me repeat a question you were asked earlier. When your beloved Tory party did just that and partied on the night your beloved royal Prince Philip died, on which side did your loyalties lie?
I’ve not met a single person yet that thinks postponing tomorrows sport is a good idea or respectful. Absolutely pathetic.
My 11 year olds game has also been cancelled on Sunday. Why? We’re not at home mourning or grieving. And in what way is it respectful to just cancel everything at a moments notice? What about all the businesses that rely on the income generated by sport? Our economy isn’t exactly booming at the moment!
Interesting that the rugby, golf, horse racing and cricket can all go ahead this weekend but the football? No.
The oiks not trusted to conduct themselves in a suitably respectful manner? Probably.
This whole 'due respect' thing leaves me bewildered. Some sports see it as one day, some as two days, and horse racing seem to have a definite timeline where it's somewhere between the two. The BHA have decided that racing has to be cancelled tomorrow out of respect for the queen, but has decided it can take place a day later so spectators can show their respect for the queen!
I have this really radical idea where they all let us decide for ourselves.
It's really no surprise though is it. This all started with the poppy thing. Once football becomes a vehicle for centre staging stuff other than the game itself, there's going to come a point where it starts ramming something down your throat that you don't like and it's now reached the point where they're actually cancelling fixtures to push the point home.
We can't be selective about this, either we get on with the ducking game or we allow it to become a side show for what we're supposed to think, believe or do next. Absolutely sick of it.
