Really Gazan do you have to be so petty and childish. There is absolutely no reason for you to make silly gestures because I asked for quality football. Yes I also said not like the rubbish we experienced last season. I should imagine like many other supporters you too found many of our home games totally boring. Would be surprised if you did not. I try to be mannerly, and would appreciate the same.

Performances definitely dipped after February but in fairness there were mitigating circumstances in that our injury list was longer than the average arm. That said, to achieve what we ultimately achieved was testament to the manager and his team and whilst I will be surprised if we reach the same levels next season we should recognise that Crewe Alexandra is a constant "work in progress". Players come and go and hopefully the ones coming will be better than some of those going.

They didn't let him leave. He was still under contract, hence the "negotiated transfer"....ie.a fee was paid.

The negotiated transfer was because of his age. Obviously, the Alex targeted him, hence the three years etc. However, if they had wanted him to stay I doubt the Alex have the power/finance to wrest him away. This is the reverse of the Alex having to let someone go for a small fee as we're usually the 'junior' party.

They made him and 3 other players available for transfer in their retained list so to that extent they let him go.
