Thanks mate. Had not realised so that’s a relief!!
There's an old adage in football.
" You' re only as good as your last game ."
In that respect , Josh Martin has been somewhat unlucky and was seemingly improving with more game time.
It takes time to acclimatise at a new club and being signed as a free agent , is an added issue.
There is no doubt that JM has ability but maybe his problems are down to confidence and application.
He deserves to move on with our best wishes and appreciation for his efforts.
The management see players on a daily basis in training and have a greater insight than us matchday fans.
On the other hand there may be exciting additions to the squad forthcoming.
Hopefully not recalled by Spurs either though. They've got shed loads of players to pick before George (straw clutcing here!).
Also saw that from their u21 squad this dude's grandfather is Ron Still - before my time, but some of you may remember him.
Currently on loan up the A60:

I think there must be an increasing possibility that Spurs might be getting a new manager.
In which case I think all options will be on the table.
As BFP suggests on another thread, I suppose I might be one of those Notts fans who are in danger of becoming a catastrophist.
I?m not nervous? he?s doing well for us but he is some way from breaking in to Prem side.. Spurs have loads of options, many are established internationals.
I think folk need to calm down about L2 performances being remotely close to that of a Prem player. For Abbott, consistency is key.
He could well break in to a Prem side in time but I genuinely don?t think he?s remotely ready just yet.
It?s a big step up from the Championship to the Premier League let alone League Two which must be a gigantic chasm away from first team squad at any Premier League club
Martin has signed for Newport. Good luck to him.

He didn't really get a full run in the side at Notts until the last few weeks of his time here but he did begin to show signs of a decent technical player. If he can get regular game time at Newport he will have the chance to showcase his abilities until the end of the season with the hope of a new longer term contract or opportunities elsewhere. I think game time is the key to this for him. He's still only 23 so still plenty of time for him to rebuild his career.
He loves his NCFC's doesn't he!
