Quite happy with the signings so far, more to do though to get a full squad capable of a top 6 finish.
All of the signings look capable of playing most of the games in the season without collapsing

Genuinely Ulley, I wouldn’t swop any of those for the players we have. Not necessarily because they aren’t good players but because they’re not an improvement on what we already have. JCH and Raggett have proven quality in the right system but neither would fit our Evattball so unless that changes, which it won’t, they wouldn’t improve us. Our main problem is mindset because we have quality players but as you saw at Wembley, they just wilt when things don’t go their way. I think this is Evatt’s last chance and if he can get the right players in we’ll do well but since he doesn’t like players with minds of their own I have doubts he will. Time will tell but either way I think we’ll both be pushing for the automatics and play offs at least but missing out will certainly see the end of Evatt’s time here.
Anyone else heard any rumours that we are still talking to Louis Sibley who’s rejected a new contract at Derby? I know we were linked with him a few weeks ago but rumours are stronger again
Would be a coup to get him but don’t know where he’d fit in a workmate of mine reckons he’s like Frecks playing wise I thought he was left sided sort of more like Pringle
I can just imagine the meltdown on Derby fan forums especially with them being linked with Jerry Yates!
Sibley's "offer" at DCFC was for a small fraction of his current deal so no way would he be accepting that and DCFC knew it.. Derby have put out the "we offered him a deal but he turned us down" line, which then means that whoever steps in, won't get him as a free out of contract signing but will have to pay Derby compensation (based on his age and length of service there through the academy upwards and the 6 years worth of development resources they've put into him) It is quite a commonplace thing teams do in cases like this. Hell of a player in the making though
You're right, he is a very energetic midfielder like Frecks and Derby have also used him quite a bit on the left side a la Pringle albeit he is quite a tall lad. It'd be a very big signing if we can pull it off especially if we lost either of the two players who've not chosen what to do yet.
I'd have thought at a guess the compensation might be about half of the PK income so then it'd be a matter of wages/terms/length of contract and of course if he wanted to come to us
Xavier from what I’ve heard it’s because of his lack of game time presumably Warney doesn’t rate him obviously £ comes into it arguably we could offer him 1st team football tell him he’s gonna one of the “main men” along with Kelly and JCH massage his ego and the famous Evans blarney and he may well come
Perhaps barter with the money due to us from Derby for Connor Washington…..or did I read somewhere it wasn’t much anyway
100% him and Warney didn't see eye to eye
