can ya remember the tweet from him at christmas, i cant remember the exact words. we go to away games on the same coach he gets our tickets, you only have to say things to one person and it goes round like wild fire. but thats the situation im afraid. hopefully it,ll change cause wilder is backing himself into an alley with the none foreign signing stance.
"Prince Abdullah, who acquired a 50 per cent stake in United five years ago, launched his takeover attempt “in response” to a process instigated by one of McCabe’s companies according to an official club statement earlier this term.

thing is and im not sticking up for the prince here if hes a 50 per cent shareholder in the club he is certainly entitled to his opinion on which way the club goes so really mcabe the prince and chris surely have to get round the table to work a compromise out
That has to be the way forward SOB to end the stalemate. Prince is entitled to push for change if he sees this is the best way to get into the Premiership. Provided there is no threat to CW's position I don't see what the problem is in looking at the foreign market. If the Belgian club the Prince has bought is to be used as a feeder club to SUFC then again no problem with that approach. We need to scout overseas as we can't compete in the UK market.
The sticking point would seem to be Van Winckel's role. He's currently called a Technical Director and there is a suggestion that the fall out occurred when it was proposed he sat on the Technical Committee which deals with player recruitment. Again provided Van Winckel doesn't have a casting vote and is only 1 member with one voice whats the problem here? He has a wealth of knowledge in the Belgium market and a lot of expertise in sports science which could assist Matt Prestridge in player conditioning/fitness.
Seems to me there is a lot of posturing over who has the final say on matters and what everyone needs to do including the owners is to work together to effect the incremental improvements the manager keeps stressing we need to move up to the next level.
Of course finding the increased investment from both owners is critical but that may be held up because of the dispute and not because of a serious lack of funds. Who knows? whatever happens we need a speedy resolution.
A new agreement between the owners setting out structure, responsibilities and agreed levels of investment would seem the best outcome for all.
Perhaps McCabe and the Prince need to go to marriage guidance. In hindsight 50:50 ownership does not work, different opinions leads to no action. They need to sit down and decide which one is taking the club forward. The partnership is currently in intensive care.
ive a feeling youve hit the nail on the head there lst this van winckel guy may well want to be influential in recruiting new players and i think thats whats upset chris this sort of thing has happened at other clubs and i honestly dont think chris would except this situation and if he hasnt got sole power over recruitment i fear he could well resign
