Agree, bookies are just covering themselves...they know nothing of substance on those odds

Very much this. I think RP has a few more... overly enthusiastic fans than we do, but it's also just a busier board so that's no surprise. If they weren't breathing down our necks, I doubt I'd read except for before and after our matches with them; with the season how it is, it's fascinating to read how they see things. It is definitely fun to compare their general optimism to our general pessimism.
Just looked at the RedPassion forum and they're busy trying to find a link to the 2pm press conference on the Portsmouth site XD They take things far too seriously in Wrexham don't they. They even picked up on my joke suggestion that Rob and Ryan where putting money on LW XD XD XD
I love reading Red Passion, especially when we’ve won and they haven’t. It’s great having a rivalry with someone at the top of the table, particularly when they’re as high profile as Wrexham currently are.
As far as LW is concerned, as others as said I suppose we’ll get a decent idea tonight with pre match speculation and what he says post match. Hope it doesn’t distract the players.
Luke Williams would be most unwise to go to Pompey. If the Cowleys couldn't succeed there I can't see Mr Williams doing so.
He could find his career all washed-up a year from now.
Notts just need to revisit his contract and give him some more money. I don’t think we’re here by luck he has made a massive difference.
Drifted out a bit to 7/2. Joint favourite with Chris Wilder.
I’m going to stick my neck out and say he isn’t going anywhere, yet.
LW has been at numerous clubs and spoke passionately and at length about how so many of them have no idea what they are doing, lurching from one disaster to the next with no strategy….sounds familiar.
I don’t have a great knowledge of Portsmouth and how well run they are but looking from the outside they don’t seem to have been very stable or successful of late. Before LW arrived some solid foundations had been out in place by the owners and previous managers, which has helped him immensely this year…even by his own admission. A style of play and general philosophy that suits LW in firmly in place now and he is 20 odd games away from becoming a Notts hero, he has everything here to build his reputation and have a promotion and possible cup win on his CV.
Going to Portsmouth now would be difficult. I doubt the Cowley brothers have instilled a style of play or have many players of the ilk that LW would consider ‘his’ type of player. He would effectively have to rebuild the side and style of play all whilst having to live with the expectations of getting promotion…a massive ask…and it isn’t inconceivable that if it doesn’t start right he could be without a job and his reputation tarnished before the seasons end.
He isn’t going to Portsmouth.
