We certainly are short of a bit of quality in Central midfield. Josh Laurent although a unit lacks quality on the ball, and reminds me of a poor man Joelinton
Barnes, Shelvey and now add Jay are all only here now until the summer; so not much risk involved and no longer term commitment to older guys in the squad.
People moaned when we signed Joey Barton. This has echoes. A tad is slightly more than a little bit, but this is the Championship not EPL.
