    Jonjo Shelvey.

Reports coming from T?rkiye this morning he is now a Claret.

IMHO we should have bought him when he was at Blackpool.

    Do we really need him?

You don?t think he?s a better player than our midfield now than BT.

I?m not saying it?s wrong or right by the way just interested to know

If he could bring some of what he used to have at Newcastle and Liverpool I think he?ll be an asset , plus he has the nasty streak in him.

How far past his sell by date is he, that is the question. But we're not overloaded in midfield so he could be a useful addition.

Just for interest I always thought he was a tad over-rated when he was at his peak in the PL.

According to my book of Imperial weights and measures, a tad is one scintilla short of a smidgen.

    *Confirmed*.
No brainer signing in my opinion, could be just what we need , looks to play forward , adding physicality, creativity and experience.

We certainly are short of a bit of quality in Central midfield. Josh Laurent although a unit lacks quality on the ball, and reminds me of a poor man Joelinton

Barnes, Shelvey and now add Jay are all only here now until the summer; so not much risk involved and no longer term commitment to older guys in the squad.
