We have obeyed the new EFL rules!

So the EFL have passed a new rule that states that when a club recruits a new manager, the so-called ‘Rooney Rule’ must be adopted. Now, if I was recruiting someone for a job I would be looking at suitability, qualifications and achievements in that particular field, not what colour of skin they had. So if a football club has, say three or four candidates in mind, none of which were black (or BAME, as the PC brigade now term it), it seems as if they will have to waste everyone’s time by interviewing someone they don’t want purely to satisfy an arbitrary quota? Next it will be blokes in dresses wanting an interview so as not to have their feelings hurt by being excluded.

I am very surprised that a big fuss hasn't already been kicked up over the issue.

Does anyone know an Asian coach/manager if they do I think he may be busy with all the interviews he’ll have to do now

Surely you interview the best candidates on there credentials not what colour they are

So does this explain why Hughton was interviewed......I for one hope he’s not just the “token black” for the idiot Dowling.

We’ve kept the EU happy by interviewing the German?

Who’s the disabled candidate........I presume someone has told Dowling that the one legged Derek Dooley is dead unless he’s planning on digging him up?

The time a woman steps through the door is time to completely give up.
