Tranmere Rovers v Stockport County, Tuesday 1st November

Let's see a robust, hard fought match with the final score being a Stockport County win by 1 goal. If Tranmere Rovers win by more than 2 goals they go above us on goal difference, but of course we will have a game in hand. If Stockport County win by 2 goals they will then be level on points with Tranmere and above them on goal difference. Both teams would be on 24 points, 3 points behind 7th placed Carlisle United. We would have a game in hand on both of them.

So, overall the best result for us is a Stockport County win by 1 goal, thus preventing Tranmere Rovers joining us on 27 points and with that score both sides will have been 'at it' for the entire match. So Tranmere may have a little less to give in Saturday's FA Cup match at Brunton Park.

It is somewhat ominous for Tranmere Rovers that last Tuesday Stockport County pissed on us and on Saturday we pissed on Tranmere Rovers.
