Much improved, but it couldn't get any worse than Saturday could it? Delighted for Matt and for the players who by all accounts looked like they were enjoying playing again. It's a win, 3 points closer to safety and maybe just a couple of points from actual safety.

Good to see energy back after a long absence and yellow shirts swarming around the opposition. Still a lot of concerns* but it's a decent start for Mr Hamshaw after only a couple of days to chivvy up our players. But in all honesty they couldn't be any worse than on Saturday. Nombe was excellent and Wilks had a good game. Good to see him tracking back and tackling. It's obvious the players wanted Evans gone.
* awful free kick from Powell in a good position that just floated feebly over the bar.
Humphreys shrugged off the ball too easily in the box that allowed them a shot that nearly went in.
These are things that can be worked on and by heck they need to be

A very good night, set plays were excellent, it took him ONE DAY to do that and SE had no idea how to use set plays. The work rate was superb and real desire and togetherness. The difference an experienced Kelly makes in the middle so calm, lovely to see and Nombe was outstanding and deserved his goal. Well done to Dawson as well, a good game from him after just letting in four. Get a good result on Saturday and we can relax a little more and enjoy the last handful of games.
