    Wins Needed

With a 2/3 point deduction possible at the end of the season surely we need this in our thinking prior to the final four games. So no being content to settle for a point and go for the three points. This will mean more emphasis on getting the ball into the oppositions box and having a damn good go at scoring goals.

In a nutshell we need to take the shackles off and go for it and try and win games. Preston are unpredictable and Sheffield will be desperate to beat us if we could be relegated.

This Saturday the target must be three points and not one point which does not help if others win.

This approach is only possible if it comes from the coaches including Abella who is not used to the attack, attack, attack part of the game.

After Portsmouth deservedly beating Ipswich we now MUST win at Preston. Pompey at home to Leicester Saturday and Oxford have three winnable games!

Ipswich will be desperate to beat us too because the race for second then could be make or break for them!

Al, fear not, Oxford will not finish above us (assuming it’s only decided on points). We have, on paper, an easier run in than Oxford. If we are relegated, then it will be because of the inept EFL docking us points. Uncle Michael knows these things!

To actually beat the opposition you must stick the round bag of air between two white posts and under one white bar something which our three grazing donkeys have no idea of, it?s ok the team showing increased levels of commitment and energy but actually having a shot at goal may help our cause, at the end of the day relegation will happen to the teams that don?t score enough goals and after seasons of having non goal scoring forwards this season could be the one that catches us out

To add to my previous post, my opinion is we now look like a Carlos Corberan side, full of running, passion, commitment very hard to beat but no creativity in midfield, nothing up front and a great reluctance to give the youngsters more than 10 mins in case it goes pear shaped, this is why in my humble opinion a major clear out is required during the summer, not just playing wise, but coaching and recruitment as well, a fresh start is required not this rinse and repeat stuff we have under Morrison and Abella, cautious draws will not keep us in this league, we are a mess of a club as somehow it needs sorting, maybe a season or two in league one might do us good

Your assumption there is that if the squad had better players, we would still play this style of football and get the same lack of goals.

We dont know what Morrison and his coaching staff can achieve with good footballers. We only know what they can do with poor ones, which has been quite good but pragmatic.

Your right we don?t know, but I saw enough and was bored enough with Corberan to realise it?s been ingrained into Morrison and Abella, caution seems to be the watch word, draws won?t keep us up. I?d rather lose 3-2 or 4-3 going for it than this draw borefest, relying on the next game for a win, then when that fails the next game is sure recipe for relegation, Preston won?t be pushovers neither will Watford, we all know how it?s going to pan out, we?ll need a win at Sheffield Wednesday, there?ll be 8000 Albion fans there and this lot of serial bottlers will let us down with a whimper
Go for it at Preston, have more than one shot throughout the 90 mins you never know we just might get lucky, the Preston keeper is probably already sorting out his deckchair, newspaper and flask of coffee

I have to agree with Bomber. We had good players like Fellows, Heggem, Armstrong, Palmer and Diangana but Morrison and his staff were there then but still the football was dire. Football is still backwards and sideways.

Complete clear out needed with a new coach and assistants with a clear vision for next season.

Did you see Portsmouth last night with their energy and fight and their overall salaries most likely will be half ours. Tells you something when Swift will be their largest earner on 20K a week and around 8/10 of ours will earn more!

With a business myself I have always worked on the basis of a staff member is paid as to their worth and contribution in line with most well run businesses.

They can only work with what they have got though. I would like to spend a night with Kelly Brook and if I say its her or nothing I would be a celibate man!

I have enjoyed games under Morrison more than the previous few managers. If we finish this season with positive results, I absolutely guarantee you we will regret not taking on Morrison and his coaching team into next season.

My view is Morrison has done a good job but God that match at Blackburn was about the most boring games of football seen in years. No it was not just nerves because it was constant passing back and sideways and lacked intensity and our desire to win. Even near the end supporters were screaming to be quicker with throw ins and get the ball in the box. In my view it was a huge mistake not to bring on fresh legs and go for the 3 points and clearly settle for one point. Big matches youngsters are a risk - I agree but not at Blackburn when Price and Heggebo were shocking and looked knackered. So in that situation would Bostock and Sule have been a gamble? No in my view as they had fresh legs and pace. Morrison decided to put his trust in those on the pitch. The moral of the story was we had no trust in Caleb but he now looks solid playing in a much better team than ours. Experienced managers with balls see things differently!
