Thread: Warne "embarrassed"

    Warne "embarrassed"

    To quote:-

"I'm not ripping them apart. What's the point? They're good kids. They want to do well. I want the lads to stay together."

And that's the root of the problem. Weak management. Give a *******ing when it's deserved.

The Mr Nice Guy all of the time loses effectiveness.

We don't know what's been said behind closed doors though.
I'm sure what we are hearing is a toned down version of some home truths in the dressing room
Besides which there might be a good cop bad cop act with Richie Barker

I remember the good old days when posters used to slag Evans off for publically criticising his players...

None of us know what went off in the dressing room. That is how it should be.

It will have been a group hug with Yates and Taylor being forced to sing three verses of "Two Little Boys", followed by 3 nights in a caravan at Wells-next-the Sea.

Normally I would agree with you on that point but Warne from the start has played the " one big family" position.

Now it's suddenly become " behind closed doors"?

Sorry I don't agree, I don't think he has the bottle to tell the players they underperformed ( to put it mildly). No *******ing happened behind closed doors because Warne is too nice and too close to a large part of the squad to criticize them face to face.

    I think it's a bit harsh

Yes we played really badly but we had four players out and according to PW some of the others played whilst being unwell.

Shouting at the players in these circumstances isn't the answer

Full strength XI and no illness with a performance like that then fair enough
