"Anyone but Newcastle' policy from selling clubs could slow Eddie Howe's transfer plans.

Eddie Howe’s bid to revive Newcastle United could be made more difficult by a refusal of some Premier League clubs to sell or loan players to the relegation-threatened club in January.

Opposition to the Saudi Arabian takeover is so deep-rooted within some Premier League clubs that it is believed they are ready to operate a ‘Anyone But Newcastle’ policy in terms of listening to bids for their unwanted players in the next transfer window.

Newcastle would ideally like to buy or loan players with Premier League experience in January as they fight to avoid relegation, but the club may be forced into the foreign market.

One industry expert told Telegraph Sport: “Newcastle will find it hard to buy players from some Premier League clubs in January because they would rather see them relegated than take their cash. Some clubs just won’t sell to them.”

Every time I think I've seen and heard it all, that we've achieved peak w@nk, I find that we haven't. So our moral guardians running football clubs won't sell players to Newcastle, aye, so they say, but I reckon when they see the colour of Newcastle's money they'll sell sure enough.

Anyway, I've had enough of virtue-signalling, sanctimonious hypocrites attacking Newcastle, I shall adopt them as my third club after Burnley and Clitheroe, and appoint myself a honorary member of the Toon Army.

So who's going down, I don't give a FF as long as it's neither Burnley nor Newcastle.
