On Sunday, as part of the National Bird Day survey, I spent an hour counting birds to report back to the RSPB. Admittedly, it was a horrible day but I was struck by how few different species of birds were in my garden - just three. We have lots of feeders and try to encourage wildlife. In total I saw one Robin, one Blackbird and then 17 Magpies sitting on our wall. I wonder if this is a very lucky thing?!
For full disclosure, I also spotted a Tricky Tree which I will be pruning next Sunday. No Stags I'm afraid.
