...would you happy with today?

Ordinarily, I'm all for putting your strongest team out barring, maybe the odd player or two. The FA Cup is an important part of our heritage/history and is a big deal generally-I usually hate it when managers put out hugely different and weakened teams. I love the FA Cup and would probably give up watching football if we ever won it

However...

The football landscape has changed, especially for us and especially this season out of all others.

We are at a watershed moment, I think. Finish in a European place as a minimum (or it might take Champions League as a minimum) and we stand to keep Bruno/Isak/Botman/Gordon/Tonali. Add to them with another RW, a CB and a 'keeper and we've got a shot at...well....you know...

Fail to get Europe and one or more of them will be off and, much as we'd have a lot of money to replace them, we'df be taking a backwards step back into the chasing pack. We're in the chasing pack now but keeping the players we have now and adding quality gives us a real chance at making that step up.

So...given the opposition today. I'd be happy with any amount of changes Eddie sees fit to make. Being in another semi-final already also has an impact on my thinking for today so, if we make wholesale changes and lose, then fair play to Bromley and, other than smarting from being on the wrong end of another giant killing, I wouldn't dwell on it too long. Players such as Longstaff, Miley, Willock, Trippier, Barnes, etc should be able to overcome Bromley; as it's the FA Cup, we all know that's not how it works but there wouldn't be any recriminations from me.

I mean, obviously I might feel differently after the event , but you get what I mean.
