    How many changes

    ...would you happy with today?

Ordinarily, I'm all for putting your strongest team out barring, maybe the odd player or two. The FA Cup is an important part of our heritage/history and is a big deal generally-I usually hate it when managers put out hugely different and weakened teams. I love the FA Cup and would probably give up watching football if we ever won it

    However...

The football landscape has changed, especially for us and especially this season out of all others.

We are at a watershed moment, I think. Finish in a European place as a minimum (or it might take Champions League as a minimum) and we stand to keep Bruno/Isak/Botman/Gordon/Tonali. Add to them with another RW, a CB and a 'keeper and we've got a shot at...well....you know...

Fail to get Europe and one or more of them will be off and, much as we'd have a lot of money to replace them, we'df be taking a backwards step back into the chasing pack. We're in the chasing pack now but keeping the players we have now and adding quality gives us a real chance at making that step up.

So...given the opposition today. I'd be happy with any amount of changes Eddie sees fit to make. Being in another semi-final already also has an impact on my thinking for today so, if we make wholesale changes and lose, then fair play to Bromley and, other than smarting from being on the wrong end of another giant killing, I wouldn't dwell on it too long. Players such as Longstaff, Miley, Willock, Trippier, Barnes, etc should be able to overcome Bromley; as it's the FA Cup, we all know that's not how it works but there wouldn't be any recriminations from me.

I mean, obviously I might feel differently after the event , but you get what I mean.

Bearing in mind this games at home Id go with a weakened team with some big guns on the bench. Id hope our (IMO) key 3 players would be fully rested: Isak, Bruno, Tonali (and hopefully big Joe too).

Botman to start before dropping back to the bench for the next game.😀

Glad Isak is being rested. Last thing we want is some lower-league clogger trying to make a name for himself by taking out the man of the moment. (not saying that's what any of Bromley's players are but the stereotype exists for a reason)

Complete agree with all the sentiments, make wholesale changes for me and a free pass regardless of the result.

For me I would be playing players who are normally on the bench, but keeping in mind we probably don?t want to cup tie unless we think they?ll be staying or moving out of the Prem.

    Vlachodimas
    Kelly
    Burn (c)
    A Murphy
    Ashby
    Willock
    Longstaff
    Miley
    Barnes (or Sanusi)
    Osula
    Miggy

Yes mate, sonething like this too for me with maybe Botman and Schar sharing with Targett in the mix to play as well.

If these players cannot win by 2 then they really shouldn't be part the squad. All due respect to Bromley of course.

    100%

Wilson supposed to be back in Feb, but odds are he could get injured not long after getting back? which is a f**king shame because he?s a cracking player, but we won?t bring in another striker till Wilson is off the books.

That?s a long way of prepping to say we HAVE to give this lad a chance to get some time, show what he can do, many been saying it but if Isak gets injured this lad is the likely player that will be available.

In a strong position for the second half of the season, 18 games left, and Isak has never been bulletproof so odds are we?ll have a spell without him? relying on Wilson to be fit and available is madness, this lad has got to get time and build some confidence.

Bang on. We are litterally an Isak hamstring width away from our season fizzling out again this year.

Osula has GOT o get minutes.

Yeah, clearly the Greek must have some kind of undeclared fkn disability. I mean if you can't get a start against Bromley in the cup, he must have.
