This was a game of two halves with the Add1cks having the better of the chances in the first 45 minutes but Swansea were very much the stronger side in the 2nd half. In the first Carey had an effort cleared by the Swansea defence. Gillesphey had a goal bound attempt saved in style by the Swansea GK Lawrence Vigouroux.

Kelman did score his first goal for Charlton just after the second half started. Coventry supplied the assist, the ball landing behind the Swansea defence for Kelman to smash the ball into the net rebounding off the cross bar.

After Amari'i Bell and Reece Burke had both limped off the potent Charlton defence were put under pressure as Swansea took control. Adam Idah scored with a low shot to equalise.
