    Woltemade to Dortmund?

If they paid big dough for him, sure, I'd take it.

But Wolte going out on loan with an option to buy seems like a bad deal for us.

Regardless, we're still going to need a new striker, don't you think? Wissa and Wolte don't feel like the future.

    I'd sell him.

Like Tomasson back in the day, he's a good player who doesn't fit into our system-or possibly even the Prem.

There's definitely a player in there, I think we've seen enough to say that but he's like...

    a pair of Louboutin heels...but you're a bloke

    a Ferrari...but you can't drive

an ice cream with no cone

a toilet with no toilet roll

Lovely, warm gloves but...erm, you've got no hands

    A wig but you've got no...um...head

    No. Wait.

    Er..

    Help

    Zip

I agree sell for money but I also agree that a loan with option isn't any good for us.

Keep him and play him in his proper position he scored plenty when he first arrived but as soon as Wissa was fit he got rotated and then was totally wasted in midfield.

You got me with that one

And fair enough - I still think he can do a job here, but obviously not in a central midfield position. I also agree that maybe the current playing style doesn't suit him particularly well. In the German side, he's thriving though - his link-up skills and goals are important for them, surely it could be that for us as well.

He’s always come across as a second striker, playing him and Wissa would be an option I’d love to see given the time to develop.

Howe is set on his 4-3-3 though.

We’d need at least one more striker, if not 2 with that, but it would mean we don’t necessarily have to strengthen the middle of the park in the summer even if Tonali were to be sold, and could play 2 out of Bruno/Joelinton/Ramsey/Miley… though the way injuries come up (especially if Willock goes) we’d likely still need another.

That said… Howe is unlikely to change his Plan A formation in a hurry.

I’d sell him for the money we paid before the WC starts, gets us what we shelled out back and is more likely to play on teams worried he might have a great WC and his price goes up… then we have the money to bring someone in sooner than later, and not wait till the end of the World Cup and have a similar situation next season where we have a striker, or strikers, come in after pre-season.

I honestly think our most important thing is to get players signed so they have a pre-season with us. I think that will be more important than who we sign to be honest.
