    Annual general meeting

will take place on Monday 20th February at Nith Hotel. On reading the season review sent this morning to shareholders it is interesting to read that '' Queens do not think a fan on the board would be beneficial to the club '' The accounts also reveal that the club made a profit.

Great to see another profit for the club . Can't see the directors getting a tough time if Naysmith continues to turn things round on the pitch . If you are a shareholder and you've got something to say then I'd urge you to attend and get your point across

What reasons do they give for not having a fan on the board? I thought they were fans.

You will note that a resolution has been placed before members by the Queens Trust requesting the election of a Trust representative to the Board of Directors. As a Board of Directors, we do not believe this will be beneficial to the company. We are happy to engage with supporters, both individually and as groups, through direct contact and also via the two new officers named above. However, we believe that the addition of an uninvited director to the Board will complicate matters and make the actual running of the company more difficult. The Board has operated smoothly in a streamlined manner since it was reduced to three directors in 2012 and we would prefer that this situation continue for the foreseeable future. Accordingly, the Board of Directors does NOT support this resolution.

Sorry folks , but it's just not going to happen . You have to feel for JTulip etc for all their hard work they've done over the years but it's quite clear their final aim is going to fail

Why can Trust members' shares not be added to the Trust's amount of shares to support this?

I am unfamiliar as to the process of electing a new director to the board - will there be a vote at the AGM or will the Chairman and Directors veto the whole thing ?

yep admin i think your spot on ,the whole thing will be vetoed ,anyways after reading these posts i thaught the point of having a fan on the board was suppose to be a result of stopping all the silence from the board the fans were always bickering about over the seasons and keeping the rest of the fans in the picture about whats getting said in the board room lol or am i missing the point of a fan being on the board in the first place ,no point in having a fan on the board if we are going to see posts like iv seen over the last few seasons saying "the sounds of silence " lol from the board ,thats when this appointed fan should be typing away on these forums keeping the fans upto date whats being said ,if this doesnt happen theres no point having a fan on the board .

Should the perceived "wall of silence" not be addressed by the recent appointment of the Supporter Liaison Officer Christine Findlater? On that particular topic was there not a meeting between various supporter groups and her last week and if there was I have heard absolutely no feedback. Can anyone who was there provide some level of feedback otherwise we are no better off than before.
