There has been some recent debate about Clubs in the Premier League not needing the attending fans.This bothers me as the Supporters are what the game is all about.Who would want to be in a virtually empty stadium and what happens when you drop down the divisions and the parachute money ends.

Looking at a realistic average season ticket price of £350 then your income from 1000 is £350,000.From 10,000 it is
£3.5m (That just may pay SD's annual salary).With current salaries for EPL players that is ridiculous.So what is the solution? Double the price of ST's?In a place like Burnley that would seriously affect the attendance and atmosphere and,in real terms,would make very little difference to the finances.Let the supporters in for nothing? Then what happens when you have to start charging.

Burnley,the way things are now,HAVE to stay in the EPL.A few years ago financially it did not matter much if you dropped into the Championship,it could mean being in a more competitive league and you could have a good season battling for promotion.2 or 3 years now in the Championship and you are on the slide and have to prepare for a massive change.

We are in the EPL but with no chance of winning it and only a slim chance of qualifying for Europe so the question I am asking is what do we do? Pile up more money so that we can last a bit longer once we are on the slide or gamble in a ridiculous market for transfer fees and salaries in an effort to stay where we are.Fine margins as someone once said.

What.like the Venky's? I don't want the Club owned by some super rich foreigner who just wants some publicity and sees an investment in a Premier League Club as a good way of promoting his business.That is getting away from what we are.

I want a total change in TV and a Company who want to show Championship games and League 1 & 2 games coming in,perhaps mixed in with one or 2 Premier League games,much like we used to get on MOD.Now I am wondering why I pay for Sky Sport when some PL games are on BT or Amazon.The money is currently unevenly spread,yesterday we were all delighted when Rochdale got a replay,not for the possibility of being in Round 4 which is unlikely but because they get a payday which will probably keep them afloat for a bit longer.Ultimately,at the moment,it is only a matter of time before they and their like follow Bury.Very sad.

Been saying this now nigh on 2 seasons!!!......Would we ever get know about any takeover ? Arab or Anyone? I very much doubt it, as long as Garlic is around.

with the owners (Dale/Day's) reckless history....I doubt that the wages of the whole City team would've been enough to "keep" Bury safe - BT.
