Make no mistake folks......this virus is going to have a devastating effect on a huge number of businesses worldwide.
Some very big names are going to go under in the coming months and many small businesses are going to bite the dust.
I’m cancelling my holiday in USA later this year and my concern is that if I transfer the holiday until next year will Kuoni even exist at that point and will ATOL cover the money already taken from me.
I saw this coming a couple of weeks ago as I posted about it on here as I thought the European response to the virus was complacent at best.
I cancelled a deal to purchase a rental property and decided not to change my car for one big reason.........I have a staff of six who depend on me and a daughter and grandson who we support due to a feckless w anchor of an ex husband.
Our total wage bill for that alone ( not including me and the wife ) is around £18k a month so I felt I needed to ensure I had enough pure cash put away to ensure I can pay everyone for a few months if sales become catastrophic.
A lot of businesses are more “hand to mouth” than mine and bigger businesses have no moral fibre and will ditch workers at the drop of a hat or give them “Zero hours” as per their contract.
Make no mistake....,this is a game changer.
Be aware of your line of work and the effect things may have on you.
Go the extra mile to put yourself out to help if you work for a small company.....make sure you’re seen as an asset rather than a whinging problem.
I can see people having to take wage cuts to ensure everyone at their place keeps a job.
Certain companies will go and you’ll just go.....”wow”.
Don’t be surprised to see big airlines have to be supported by governments like RBS were during the banking crisis.
This is the biggest financial crisis you will see in your lifetime if this isn’t sorted in a few weeks.
Hang on to your hats.......it’s going to get rough!!
