    Financial Armageddon for many.

Make no mistake folks......this virus is going to have a devastating effect on a huge number of businesses worldwide.

Some very big names are going to go under in the coming months and many small businesses are going to bite the dust.

I’m cancelling my holiday in USA later this year and my concern is that if I transfer the holiday until next year will Kuoni even exist at that point and will ATOL cover the money already taken from me.

I saw this coming a couple of weeks ago as I posted about it on here as I thought the European response to the virus was complacent at best.

I cancelled a deal to purchase a rental property and decided not to change my car for one big reason.........I have a staff of six who depend on me and a daughter and grandson who we support due to a feckless w anchor of an ex husband.

Our total wage bill for that alone ( not including me and the wife ) is around £18k a month so I felt I needed to ensure I had enough pure cash put away to ensure I can pay everyone for a few months if sales become catastrophic.

A lot of businesses are more “hand to mouth” than mine and bigger businesses have no moral fibre and will ditch workers at the drop of a hat or give them “Zero hours” as per their contract.

Make no mistake....,this is a game changer.

Be aware of your line of work and the effect things may have on you.

Go the extra mile to put yourself out to help if you work for a small company.....make sure you’re seen as an asset rather than a whinging problem.

I can see people having to take wage cuts to ensure everyone at their place keeps a job.

Certain companies will go and you’ll just go.....”wow”.

Don’t be surprised to see big airlines have to be supported by governments like RBS were during the banking crisis.

This is the biggest financial crisis you will see in your lifetime if this isn’t sorted in a few weeks.

Hang on to your hats.......it’s going to get rough!!

Everyone I know is almost tearing their hair out! We are struggling big time!! Whilst many take to on-line shopping a load of customers ( our feedback ) is that they do not want strangers ie delivery drivers opening the door so a pad needs to be signed that every f ucker has touched. Loads will go under!

It’s the domino effect - one company will pull another one down! Look at all those who for example booked Easter holidays to Spain and USA - planes need to keep flying or airlines and travel firms will go bust!

Whilst players like Zohore, Austin and Barry pick up undeserved fat salaries in the next weeks or months will our club and others keep paying match day stewards and casual staff who have relied on this income however small? I bet the answer is no so perhaps players can have a whip round! Will they?

Perhaps those who are minted can help the elderly who are too scared to get to the shops or can’t afford food! I think not and greed is the biggest evil of our society!

Liquidator’s will be rubbing their lips as will debt collectors on other people’s misery!

Agree this is going to get bad - how bad depends on when it peaks. In China it took three months before they got it under control. So for me thats around end of May for us. But the difference with China is its a controlled system - everyone has to do as they are told. Here thats not the case. There was that survey yesterday saying 25% of UK people had not changed their personal hygiene routine since the outbreak. Unbelievable. Well f*ck#rs wake up and smell the coffee as you are not only putting yourself at risk but many others too. Confidence should start to return by June and hopefully most businesses will survive until then.....,but if goes on into late summer and early autumn then its gonna get really ugly..... no two ways about it.....and I fear for those living hand to mouth and depending on the monthly pay packet to survive....could lead to a break down in law and order....

The old way is crumbling and has been for a while now. The signs have been there for anybody interested. The world system is changing and many are not ready. Evolution doesn't just happen over countless millions and billions of years. It happens over months weeks and days as well as hours....Nobody can buy there way out of this......Only humans attach a worth to gold!!!
Any other animal on the planet wouldn't give it a second look......it is meaningless to them.....Gold... a fools wealth!!
And investors only a few months ago thought BREXIT was the game changer in the economy...
How foolish they look now...when a mere virus unseen by human eyes can cause so much more destruction....

I have been down a pub tonight (next to the Halesowen Town ground) that I use on and off on a Thursday and occasionally on a Saturday. The pub was full, majority of folk older than me in their late 50's 60's and even 70's
They don't seem to be locking themselves away but carrying on as normal.

Regarding personal hygiene (and I'm not critisising this pub for it), but the dirty state of most doors in pubs both on entrances and toilets is generally disgusting. Use a paper towel whenever touching these things as they tend never to be cleaned.

One of the biggest mistakes pubs have made for years is having glass bowls with nuts in for people to dip their hands in after they have been to the toilet (Recent survey 60% of men and 30% of women don't wash their hands after going to the toilet which is DISGUSTING) Not recommended.

Almost as disgusting as those who walk into the toilets on planes without shoes!!! Filthy animals!!! Saw a food place the other day - all staff were wearing disposable gloves handling food then taking cash ( coins and notes )?with gloves on. They should be closed down the filthy *******s.

Would not touch anywhere now which is an open food buffet - carvery or cakes etc not covered up. Absolute breeding ground!!

From observation I would suggest that is about correct for % of hand washers. They used to say the French were the worst for soap dodging but I suspect the Brits are not too far behind.

Last year, whilst on a Spanish holiday, I was in the hotel restaurant and bar and had cause to use the loo. Whilst washing my hands a chap flounced out of a trap (obviously have had a dump) and walked out the toilet into a busy bar and restaurant area. Having just completed a thorough hand wash, I was incensed as I had to open the door he had just, most likely placed his crap on. I grabbed a paper towel (I also usually do this if they are available) and went out. I saw the chap just ahead of me. I called out to him ‘Sir, you have just been in the toilet and taken a no2 and you failed to wash your hands’. He tried to ignore me, so I went in front of him and said it loudly again. Everyone was looking. The chap, having turned the colour of Santa’s robe did an about turn and scurried back to the toilet, probably just to avoid the stares and tut tuts, Some people responded with, ‘good on you’.

I still see people hand wash for a matter of seconds. They never learn do they.

I think there’s going to be a massive opportunity for certain people off the back of this virus.

I can see people carrying hand sanitizer etc with them as a matter of course from now on......I know for one I will.

I’ve long avoided opening public toilet doors without covering my hand with my sleeve but that in itself is not enough as it’s then n the clothing.

In reality all toilets should now be fitted with a sanitising station outside the toilet door so that people can put some on their hands after leaving the toilet area.

I can see a law been brought in to mandate this sort of thing,if I was in government I would invoke this straight away.

The person who comes up with the most efficient and portable sanitising solution is going to become very rich very quickly.

It needs to be something that can be as fashionable as an Apple Watch or smart phone or headphones that can be perhaps worn as an accessory.
