Very sad news and not too old either. What caused his death?

Hi Prando, told us a few years ago he had a bad stroke, I don't think he made a good recovery. Perhaps Prando might have heard more.

    Very sad news.

Sadly I never got to enjoy seeing him in an Albion shirt as he was leaving us in 72 at the point I started watching.

I was surprised to see how few games he played for Scotland, only 7 appearances seems to be out of balance with his ability?

Hi Mick the lack of caps was down to Scotland at the time, only picking players who played in Scotland

Don't think that's right the likes of Law, Bremner, MacCreadie, Cook were all playing for Scotland around then. Most of the Jocks team would have been from the European Cup Winning Celtic team plus they had Jim Baxter who was an exceptional player in Hope's position.

Bobby Hope was always the player I played like in my dreams like. He was quite simply the best passer of a football I have ever seen in a Baggies shirt and would be straight in my All Time Albion X1.

Can't imagine him being anything other than a smashing individual the sort the World could do with more of.

Quite probably my favourite Albion player. He even had a couple of kick abouts with me and some mates when we were kids in Island Road Park Handsworth as he lived in a bungalow that backed on to the park. Consistently dropped crosses on to our little heads while still managing to walk his poodles. God bless him.
