Certainly knows how to kill the team, substitutions ridiculous, Yokuslu really angry
Tony Brown on WM was saying the same.
This is typical of today’s “manage by numbers” mentality, too many managers try to fit in with modern trends and be too clever by half.
We are not good enough to be able to act like Man City, I just wish our various managers would wake up and realise this.
At 3-0 we could’ve ended up at 5-0 with our starting line up and done the goal difference good as well.
Instead, we cling on and confidence takes a dent.
Ridiculous.
Shocking decision! Corberon lost us the game at Blackburn with ridiculous selection and subs. Take off Okay and Mulumbey and you cut through a very weak back four like a knife through butter! Basics!!!!
I don’t think for a minute he thought the game wasn’t safe at 3-0 so he was trying to get the squad some game time because there’s a chance that he’ll be left with this squad and no additions. He’s as good as said that in interviews. That’s why he gives them game time when it’s safe. However, Swansea have proved time and time again that they can come back from a deficit. I’m sure most of us on here would have kept key players on the field, especially v Swansea. Some amazing results today, that make our result and 3 points not the main talking point. Don’t know what the Saints fans must be thinking right now, or Leeds.
Do when are the local media especially going to start prodding Corberan hard with these questions?
I’d love to be a reporter…,,,”So Carlos, once again your substitutions have caused your team real problems, is there any reason that you keep weakening your side and putting it in jeopardy like this?”
And when a bull s h I t answer is given, don’t accept it.
It wouldn’t be so bad if the subs were of the same standard of the players coming off, but Chalobah for Yokuslu beggars belief
Corberan is no idiot and I suspect he was managing injury risk rather than intentionally weakening the team through foolery as some suggest. We have a tiny squad, give the bloke a break.
