    O/T Chris Rea sadly passes

Known for his great catchy Christmas song. Driving Home for Christmas' he was more than that releasing 25 albums throughout his career.

As for the song, he begged his Management team not to release it but he was so glad they did. There's a good story behind how he came to pen it. Loved by all our family, it's one of the best festive songs that I think others will agree.

RIP Chris and such a loss for his loved ones and especially at this time of the year.

    RIP Chris

Saw him, as an unknown, supporting Lindesfarne in 1978 @ Loughbro' Uni.

I saw him at Whitley Bay Ice Rink in the early 1990s. Great night.

    RIP.

Didn't remember how many good hits he had. He had plenty of medical problems during the last few years.

    RIP Chris............

An amazing songwriter and musician. Didn't pander to modern music trends. Road to Hell is a masterpiece.

Very sad! On the Beach will always be a favourite and I also have 2 or 3 albums on vinyl from a long time ago. He was great when he appeared on Gone Fishing with Bob and Paul a few years ago.

    RIP
