just a reminder we have yet to release our official financial figures for the 2024/25 period with indications suggesting a projected future revenue of 262m. they usually surface late March early April, so not to far away now so any additional finance injections are good news.

hopefully a healthy financial forecast fuelled by the record breaking 12m a season Red Bull partnership could show the way to fund an aggressive 2026 summer transfer budget if the 49ers Enterprises seriously target a 1b club valuation marker into joining the top six.

while the latest 2023/24 accounts showed a 61 million pre tax loss which was the largest in the Championship the club has successfully navigated tricky PSR compliance through 141m in capital injections and strategic player sales and with planning permission now granted for a 53,000 capacity ER expansion we are positioned to generate an additional 30m in annual matchday income providing the long term Squad Cost Ratio (SCR) headroom which is all going to be obviously needed if were to challenge for a top six placing.

its great to see another backer joining our club boardroom in Greek born Dracopoulos who is the Co-Chairman of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF), a private, international philanthropic organisation that supports projects worldwide aiming to achieve a broad, lasting and positive impact for society at large in addition to benefitting over 3,100 global nonprofits through SNF, so it appears Dracopoulos has supported education, arts and culture plus medicine projects for decades.
reading he was born and raised in Athens, Greece and has been a long-time supporter having obtained his first official Leeds United Membership 50 years ago and brings a wealth of business and philanthropic experience to the club and community.

so if Adam Underwood who oversees the football department including first team recruitment, coaching and the academy is given decent money for further player quality for a LUFC coach it will be interesting if Klopp will be involved in day to day operations as his 2025 Red Bull remit is to advise all RB teams on their playing philosophy, transfer strategy and coaching development.

question remains are we still being confident that club director Peter Lowy is to be key in bringing his global commercial and property expertie scales to further our financial projections alongside Andrew Schwartzberg our vice Chairman who is now providing strategic investment via his real estate eyes and ears via development strategies all going on behind the current ER scenes ?

reality is without further needed bigger funding we cannot progress the pl ladders whoever our coach is going forward and as DCL showed again for England into why goalstrikers do not come cheap nowadays in games where chances must be taken.

Your insight on the inner workings is appreciated.

I really can?t understand how strikers at the prem level miss the amount of sitters they do. At various levels I played in when you they had a sitter they were automatic. The hard part is getting into the position to have a ?sitter?. Many Don?t have the ability to do that. At that point the defense doesn?t matter no matter how good they are. It?s just mental

as Oliver Wendell Holmes Sr the American polymath once said, Spaldy.

'what lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us' .
    rather apt regarding todays strikers.
