That's actually a fair point (much better when you stick to footy and not winding folk up ).

Mind, you've got to think Rafa would have said 'look at the shite I've got to work with-no wonder I have to shuffle the pack constantly to try and get a tune out of them; you on the other hand Daniel, my son-or whatever the Spanish equivalent is- are a class above and will play every game'

his ****e is no worst than many managers in fact a couple have taken what we would have callsed **** a season or two ago and turned them into good teams and infact decent prem players
sean dyche and the lad from boyrnmouth

if we had gone for a ****e manager or even a run of the mill manager like pardew or the manager swansea or the likes have brought in i could understand why people would question why he kept shuffling

look at those managers that have taken over stoke west brom swansea etc

they pick a system and they get their players playing to that system ,everyone knows there job, everyone knows what is expected of them evryone improves both as a team and as individuals

    noyt us
we still think its pre season

In this case we don't know what the Baggies go ahead owners sanctioned, also it was a return to his families home area.
    we had the deal done

is liverpool where he played for so long so much nearer than newcastle to brum

    he was on his way

    but rafa couldnt persuade him
havent we had managers convince players that we were near london

truth is whilst i may agree ash could and should have done more this window

i wouldnt come and play for rafa if i wanted to score goals and wanted a run of games

his contiually rotating forwards would hinder sturridge

and thats why he didnt come

Not much good on geography are you , Liverpool is much less than a half the distance than Newcastle and only 30% of the time in travel .

Cracking point this like pboro, and really indicative of the level of debate on here sometimes

As we ALL know, all of Rafa's signings have been from much closer to home than Newcastle, it's obvious Rafa can't draw people up to the toon. Other than Murphy (Norwich), Lejeune (Spain), Atsu (London), Joselu (Stoke), Manquillo (Spain), Merino (Germany), Kenedy (London), Richie (Bournemouth), Gayle (London), Sels (Belgium), Yedlin (London)... there are others, but obviously these are the exceptions so why bang on about them? Grant Hanley is the norm!

Yer a proper radgie ye like You do give me a laugh sometimes though.

    you missed my point
he said he went there as birmingham or west brom is nearer to his home

well travelling an extra 100 miles to me isnt that much
when other managers have had the power to persuade players that we are just outside london

if rafa couldnt persuade him to come here for an extra hour and a half car journey the times he does go home tells me its more about his style of play

im sure at liverpool he didnt go home evey day

he would have had a house in the city and gone home a couple of times a week

So your telling me that it was a done deal and Fatty had agreed to pay 271k a week for the services of Sturridge. This is what West Brom are paying for the remaining 14 games

Aye right I fully believe Ash had sanctioned that even though he has nothing to do with the running of the Club.

So it not really his fault it’s Charnleys fault
