To answer you first question, I and I suspect many others, haven't the faintest idea why we have Bravo, or Orta, or most of the coaching staff Broughton when Monk left. We do however know What the consequences of having these "experts" in our midst are, last night being a horrible reminder.
And also, you suggest Boro are rebuilding? Strange that, given that our DoF was largely responsible for reducing them to near melt-down. You think he would learn, wouldn't you?
"Brought in" of course (predictive text!!!😝![]()
I create a debate and get asked for opinions and before I've time to answer your all over me like rash WTF11.
For courtesy to Jez and WTF11 I'll endeavour to answer ................. you both.
Spent the match near Boro press box and spoke to a few local club community staff after whilst thawing out ..............
Regarding Orta - came in via Sevilla and Russian side Zenit St Petersburg before joining Boro and was Karanka’s personal choice to head up the scouting department I was told.
Later in the Media room I was told by the local Gazette journalist that salary and bonus issues created rifts between players bought in and Karanka's man management created squad fractions - Gibson sacked Karanka then released Orta and all Karanka's background team due to financial constraints the club was under.
It's very hard for me to 'effectively' communicate football finance and the importance of UEFA club licensing rules of which FFP is just one of five key financing criteria issues - although complex it is simple to understand for those that wish to try and understand.
If you have a quick look at the Championships clubs finances (below) starting with Bristol City then Leeds and then Boro and I hen Wolves you'll understand that clubs have to finance certain infrastructures by law from staffing, recruitment, academy, youth training, local community involvement ........ the list goes on and on before first team.
Boro has ticked all criteria boxes and please note their cost,Bristol will struggle while Leeds has actually ticked most boxes since Rads arrival whilst Wolves are not even at the races yet infrastructure wise for UEFA criteria.
The first team obviously now will be the Rads next target - so when, how and whom we shall all see and argue later.
I object to your term of me being an apologist as I'm just explaining matters that you maybe are not aware of.
I also STRONGLY object that I don't want the best for Leeds United and that comment is out of order WTF11- I would suggest you don't drink and post.

Drinkin and postin is great. I wish Marley was on .
None of this is what i asked you YOUR opinion about - you have listed a lot of information but i asked you if you thought the players that the money was spent on last summer and since have proved to be worth the money?
It's always hard to have a foot in both camps, but i was interested in your opinion - given the way the season's gone, have the players that were bought last summer been worth the (fairly significant) money spent? And if not, where does the responsibility for those choices lie, and what is the level of accountability beyond TC?
"The first team.....now will be the Rads next target"???????
So we are to believe that our owner, having taken 100% ownership, declares that a top 6 finish position is the objective, proceeds to do all the "infrastructure" stuff whilst abdicating responsibility for 1st team matters and allowing our DoF to inflate the player wage bill by £7m in one year (whilst stuffing the 1st team squad with dross from around the world???
Seems fairly obvious that without a 1st team of some quality, everything else is just window dressing, and yet he has waited until now to target 1st team matters, really?
As for being an apologist, you constantly and consistently defend the club's senior management, when it is they who have overseen even more dismantling of the structures that gave us an academy that produced, replacing able and capable resources with yes men and hangers on. It is they who have overseen the importing of players of questionable capability, it is they who have allowed player wages to balloon out of control with no apparent benefit in performance, quite the opposite.
They show no sign or inclination to change, and yet you continue to defend them. As an obviously intelligent person, such unquestioning support seems illogical
Anyone else having trouble posting new threads/topics?
You know very well in private why I cannot answer that Jez.
I am prepared to say that most players bought in have had an opportunity to establish themselves albeit under different managers and coaches and those here prior likewise.Obviously time was needed to gel, younger players needed game time for experience and settling into a new environment/country also comes into consideration as does pressure from folks like us.
Put another way I once asked a musician,Bobby Gillespie, what his band was going to produce for a £1million contract on offer as he had changed his very successful band members line up that had prior earned the Studio quite substantial profit.
His answer was ...... "give me time' and you'll get the result wanted.
The contract signed had conditions of course !
It was signed and he was never late for recording sessions, promised to curb his, err, excessive lifestyle for three months and produced a decent album followed by a money spinning tour.
So with Leeds - I don't know what the Rad expected from his 'new line up'.
I don't know what his terms and conditions are.
But like any owner he will react and has the financial flexibility to do so.
Staff come and go in football likewise music and punters like us pay with our feet ultimately - it's a risk business.

Respect for answering this Mrs O - i do think that it's very difficult for you with your feet in both camps, but also that often when you come on and give lots of information, it can appear to be a defence of the club in situations where you'll be aware the vast majority of fans are feeling strongly the opposite way.
Only you can find a way through that, but it can often portray you as an apologist for the club, rather than using your usual straight to the point opinions, which normally you don't hold back about when it's to criticise those that have said something critical of the club/owners/players. It's obvious that you use a different, much more measured tone to defend the club and its owners. You have plenty of strong and decisive comments when it's the other way around, and it must be difficult to hold your tongue at times.
I think that's why WTF, and to some extent myself, often question the balance in your arguments. I do understand your position is difficult, but i think it's made more so when you are so critical one way, to fans who are just offering a view that evidence seems clearly to bear out, but unwilling to give much criticism the other way.
Do you see my point?
